The Holidays, 2006

There was quite a bit of chatter about The Red Seat on the internets this holiday season. There was some admiration for our new items, especially those in the Luxury Box, as well as for seasonal stuff and some of our old favorites. 'Tis the season!

Even Hart liked the Ben Affleck thing!

Stumbled upon this! We salute you!

Hart shared some love today. Thanks! It's always nice to get a mention on a site as great as Soxaholix!

Cursed to First is the blog and Beth runs the show. The link will take you to her "review" of The Red Seat and specifically our Captain Fenway graphic. If you visit her site, we strongly recommend you take your time and have a good look around.

Duffy's Cliff is on track for a launch during the impending baseball playoffs either late September or early October. We've been working with Sox man extraordinaire Ed Cossette on making this site something you'll want to come back to time and time again. Best part - it's going to be free, fun and as bad as we want it to be. Stay tuned and sign up!

We had a couple more fun Red Sox related events the past couple of months to report. We got a nice thank you card from Dr. Charles Steinberg, the Executive Vice President of Public Affairs for the Sox. We sent him a freebie of the Reloaded Spring Training shirt. They continue to be super friendly over there.

And Barbie, our special Connecticut Red Seat operative, went to a Stewart O'Nan book signing and had a nice chat with him about the Sox and his and Stephen King's book, "Faithful". She said he was a pretty big guy. I wonder if his shirt fit...

Larry sent us another letter! We just keep sending him free stuff and he keeps writing back! He probably feels obligated, but we'll take it where we can get it!

We also received a very nice holiday card from Lou Gorman, former GM. The thought was so nice and we were thrilled to get it, but we gotta say, thought the card would be a little more impressive and a whole lot cooler. Maybe that's just us...

Is everyone basking sufficiently in the afterglow? We are. Still can't quite take it all in, but it feels nice, real nice...

It's been hard to keep up with the chatter these past few months, but here are a few notables. Megnut shared some love a couple times which led to another nice mention. And who doesn't love the Soxaholix?

Since we began this thing back in May, itās been a bit of a roller coaster ride. Well, maybe not a roller coaster. Tilt-A-Whirl? Umm. No. Maybe that Tea Cup ride at Disneyland. Anyway, you get the idea. The response has been terrific.

It all started with the ever so tiniest mention halfway down the page on Boston Dirt Dogs. The amount of submissions to our mailing list in that day alone was astonishing. Then Edward and Beth shared a little love, and it just got crazier after that. Red Seat fans started posting photos on their blogs. We even got mentioned a few times on message boards. Apparently, even The Sons of Sam Horn had a little chit chat going on behind closed doors. Sadly, we can only window shop there. One of the most amusing bits so far was by our buddy, Hart. We had some teeny, tiny, itty, bitty duds made up special for that one and this one.

Anyhoo, we appreciate the chatter and keep wearing those "battling evil" shirts. Itās never too late.
